Jake Owens, Sara Evans, Garth Brooks, Steve Wariner — All in a Day in the Country July 25 [Video]

Man, it is hard to believe Jake Owen has been around five years. His debut album, "Startin' With Me" came out five years ago today.

Ten years ago Sara Evans was celebrating her "Born To Fly" album achieving platinum status. Here she is singing the tune from 2001.    When I met her at KFDI in Wichita, she had achieved merely gold status. Here we are holding the station's gold record.

When Kenny Rogers' "She Rides Wild Horses" album is certified platinum in 2000, it means he has had at least one platinum album in each decade 1970-1980-1990-2000

A song you hear a lot on WBKR,  Garth Brooks "The River" is #1 on this date in 1992.

And, on this date in 1987 Steve Wariner's "The Weekend" reaches #1.
