I've known Megan Shields for over two decades. She's helped take care of my last three pups through the years. She's a masterful groomer, who's finally opening her own business. Every pet owner wants to leave their beloved furry family member with someone they can trust. Well, Owensboro is getting another option to help make that happen!

MEG'S TRIM & STAY OPENS IN OWENSBORO

Meg's Trim & Stay is now grooming pets, but boarding will take longer as they finish facility construction. I had a chance to walk through the state-of-the-art building, and it's quite impressive. Megan opened up the business because she has a deep love for animals.

"I know how important it is to take your pets somewhere safe. Whether it's for grooming, boarding, or hanging out in daycare. You want to be sure they're watched and cared for. Somewhere they'll come home tired from having a great time! ", Megan shared

The team wants to offer quality care for your pooch. They strive for it to be the most comfortable home-away-from-home for area pets. The entire facility was set up with that goal in mind.

Megan added, "I wanted to provide the community boarding for when they go out to have a good time with family and not worry about their pets. I want to be a bigger part of the community and leave a legacy for my children when they get older. At the end of the day, family, friends, and experiences matter the most."

Megan secured some familiar faces for grooming. She announced the news on social media this week. Megan Staack and Sarah Thomas are also booking grooming appointments.

The inside play area is coming along. The special flooring is ready to be laid.

Don't worry! There's a large outside play area too. It's coming along nicely with tall fencing.

The "holding area" for those awaiting their bath and grooming is spacious. There's plenty of room for sisters and brothers to hang out together!

Construction continues in the boarding and daycare areas. There will be tons of room for pups to run and play to their hearts' content.
