I love food.  I especially love Italian food.  And I love any chance I get to eat somewhere new.  So, Friday night, I dropped by the brand new Mirko Pasta location at Wesleyan Park Plaza here in Owensboro to give it a try.  Oh my goodness.  I love pasta anyway.  But at Mirko all the pastas and sauces are handmade.  I had apple, sage and sausage ravioli with pesto sauce and it was ridonkulous!   In fact, I'm not sure how you say "ridonkulous" in Italian, but I may have to figure it out now .  So, what is Mirko Pasta and where did it come from?  Honestly, before the sign went up at the Owensboro location, I had never even heard of it.  So, I did some digging and found out a little history about Mirko.  Check it out!

Here's some background info on the chain.  Keep in mind, the guy chatting is at a Mirko Pasta location in Georgia and he references his particular store.  But you'll get the drift and learn what you need to know about Mirko.

Mirko is a relatively new chain (with restaurants primarily in Georgia) and we're fortunate here in Owensboro to be one of the first handful of locations.  In fact, ours is the ONLY location in Kentucky.  If you want to check out the menu at our Mirko Pasta, I have that for you too.  CLICK HERE and download it.
