New Trailer Premieres for Horror Movie About — Wait for It

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the park... Cue the music (duh-duh...duh-duh...duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh...)

SQUIRRELS! That's right! Coming to a theatre (or perhaps picnic shelter with a screen) near you, a new horror movie called Squirrels.

Well, to be perfectly honest, it's a "pre-sales" trailer so nothing has been purchased yet. But in a world that gives us Sharknado, why can't we have a film about squirrels that turn to flesh-eating mini-monsters when their food supply starts to erode.

The film's producer, Timur Bekmambetov, has a list of credits that includes the horror flicks Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Nightwatch, and Daywatch plus the Angelina Jolie action thriller Wanted, which was an actual hit.

So it's not outside the realm of possibilities that another one of his horror films would hit the big screen, but it's my guess that Squirrels will find its home on SyFy where so many original horror or action movies of its ilk have thrived.

Squirrels...it's a nutty idea but it might have some bite.
