OSO’s Concert on the Lawn

It used to be a sign for me that the start of classes was right around the corner. Now that I have graduated, it is a sign to me that fall is getting close. The event I am talking about is the annual Concert on the Lawn!

The Owensboro Symphony Orchestra’s Concert on the Lawn will take place this Saturday on the front lawn of Kentucky Wesleyan College. The evening of fun will begin with children’s activities and a concert by the Owensboro Community band at 5 p.m. Then at 7p.m., you will be treated to the sounds of the OSO as they get down with Motown.

I have been to the Concert on the Lawn several times (almost yearly while I was at KWC) and enjoyed it more every year. It is a fun, family friendly event that you are sure to enjoy! I am very excited about this year and the sounds of Motown. The concert will feature Owensboro's FunKYstra and other local talent. There is also a table decorating contest, with this year’s theme being “Your Favorite Motown Hit”.
