Electrocution Likely the Cause of Owensboro Blue Bridge Worker’s Death

Dave Spencer

A worker on Owensboro’s Blue Bridge who suffered injuries Monday evening has died. Daviess County coroner Jeff Jones has confirmed that burns on the hands of the 35-year-old repair crew member are consistent with electrocution.

More details are currently available at tristatehomepage.com. The worker’s name has not been released.

Owensboro’s Blue Bridge–the Glover Cary Bridge–was closed the day after the International Bar-B-Q Festival and will be closed for six months as crews paint and make necessary repairs to the 73-year-old Owensboro icon.
