Sportscaster Erin Andrews Didn’t Miss A Game Despite Cancer Diagnosis

As many of you know, beating cancer is very close to out hearts at WBKR. We are gearing up for our annual Denim and Diamonds fundraiser, benefitting St. Jude, next Friday night. When I read this story earlier this week, I thought it was well worth sharing with all of you.

I am a huge fan of Erin Andrews, both because she is very good at her job, and let's be honest ,she isn't bad to look at while watching football on Sunday. I have even more respect for Erin after founding out she had been battling cervical cancer all through the NFL season. Andrews revealed the news to Monday Morning Quarterback, a website dedicated to pro football. Andrews revealed that she was diagnosed in September, telling her doctor, "I'm not watching any games at home." Andrews has made good on that promise, despite going through two separate surgeries to remove tumors. As of November 5th, the date of Andrews second procedure, Andrews is cancer free. In addition to kicking cancer's tail, Andrews got engaged to former NHL player, Jarrett Stol, over the holidays.
