University of Louisville guard Kevin Ware was rushed to the hospital following his horrible injury during Sunday evening's game against Duke in Indianapolis.

Announced this morning through several news outlets, the University of Louisville's application to the Atlantic Coast Conference has been accepted. The unanimous vote came from the ACC's Council of Presidents. They are expected to join the conference in 2014.

You see it all the time. A basketball player dives out of bounds to save a ball, and anyone who happens to be in his path, well...may the Lord have mercy on his or her soul.

I'm a huge college basketball fan. And I support all Kentucky teams. But I get a little jazz from hardcore University of Kentucky fans because I also like Louisville. So I was pretty pumped over the Cardinals' big win Sunday over the Pittsburgh Panthers--a top 5 team. And I' m happy today because a certain Louisville cheerleader's life was spared.
