There’s a Cookout for Chemo Buddies in Owensboro This Friday

2023 is a huge year for Riney Hancock CPAs here in Owensboro. The accounting firm is celebrating its 50th anniversary. One way they're doing it is by giving back to the community and that's exactly what they'll be doing on Friday, October 20th. Riney Hancock is partnering with WBKR to have a Yard Party for Chemo Buddies.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and that particular disease is something the owners and staff at Riney Hancock know all too well. Adam Hancock runs the family business. His mom is a breast cancer survivor. So is one of Adam's team members at the firm.  That's why the staff has decided to rally around the cause.

They've joined our 2023 Yard Party series and will be serving up lunches for donation this Friday.

All proceeds raised from the event will benefit Chemo Buddies. In case you're unfamiliar, here's a look at Chemo Buddies, how it was founded and what the agency does.

To raise money, Riney Hancock CPAs will be selling $5 box lunches and you're invited to swing by and get one. And check out the flier! Riney Hancock is matching 100% of the donations received.

By the way, in case you're interested, the chips available will be Ruffles, Cheetos, BBQ potato chips or Doritos. Drinks will include Coke, Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper, Sprite or water.
