There are many college basketball analysts who consider the University of Kentucky's 1995-96 team one of the sport's all-time greatest teams.

That UK team went 34-2 , won the national title, and, in fact, won all six of their tournament games that year by an average of 21.5 points. One of those wins was a blowout over Wake Forest, a team that featured future NBA superstar and Hall-of-Famer Tim Duncan.

In short, those 'Cats, known as "The Untouchables," were pretty good.

Future NBA talent littered that roster.

One of those players was an Evansville native who would go on to play for the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, and the Los Angeles Clippers during a healthy 10-year NBA career.

Recently, he returned to his hometown to become the new head coach at the University of Evansville.

And, now, you'll get a chance to hear and meet Walter McCarty, as he will be making an appearance at Maloney's on Highway 54 in Owensboro this Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30.

He'll be telling what I'm sure are some amazing stories and signing autographs. So if you have something you want him to sign, bring it with you.

Walter McCarty, in Owensboro at Maloney's this Wednesday. Don't miss out!
