WBKR & American Cancer Society Making Strides Together [Video]

Here at The Country Station, we are thrilled to again be a flagship sponsor for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides event.  This year marks the 3rd consecutive year for the breast cancer awareness and fundraising walk and it is just a couple of weeks away.  To find out more about Making Strides and how you can be involved and to get info about some exciting fundraising cookouts that have been planned to support Strides, KEEP READING!!

You can also contribute by making plans to attend one of two big cookouts being held to help raise money.  The first is Wednesday, October 3rd at Kroger (Wesleyan Park Plaza).  WBKR and Strides' other flagship sponsors, Old National Bank and Riney Hancock CPA's, are teaming up for a a seven-hour feast (10am-5pm)!  Here's the menu . . .

Pork Burgers, chips and soft drink= $4.00

Hot Dog, chips and soft drink= $3.00

Hot Dogs= $1.00

All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer!

And, we invite you to mark your calendars for Friday, October 19th.  WBKR is hosting a front yard party and our friends at Atmos Energy will be coming along to cook hamburgers and hot dogs during Jaclyn's midday show.  Again, all proceeds will benefit Making Strides.

And, speaking of which, mark your calendars for 2pm, Sunday, October 21st at Smothers Park in downtown Owensboro.  WBKR, Kroger, Old National Bank, Riney Hancock CPA, the American Cancer Society and thousands of others will be Making Strides to beat breast cancer!  Join us!
