You've probably time off between now and Christmas, right? I mean, not just the two upcoming weekends. You should treat yourself to a unique holiday experience in Williamstown KY.

If you love holiday lights like I love holiday lights, you might find yourself carving out some time for a journey to Christmastime at Ark Encounter. All those creatures on board--the dinosaurs, too--are looking forward to seeing you.

Once you're there, you'll be able to soak in the holiday season with a number of featured attractions within the event. There will be an outdoor concert featuring your favorite Christmas carols. Plus, you'll be able to zipline amongst the beautiful light displays. Here's what that looks like on a summer day; imagine doing it surrounded by Christmas lights:

There will also be shopping opportunities...maybe some last-minute stocking stuffers will be in order.

And, of course, there will be animal experiences to enjoy; the Ararat Ridge Zoo has recently expanded.

There's also a kangaroo walkabout and a children's zoo. Plus, kids 17 and under can even ride a camel if the weather's decent. And there will be animal shows at 5:15 PM and 7:15 PM each night it's open. A virtual reality experience, a one-of-a-kind carousel, and amazing seasonal treats complete the adventure.

And, if you're making it a quick stay-cation, there's plenty of other things to do in, around, and near Williamstown.

Christmastime at Ark Encounter is open Tuesday through Saturday, 5 PM until 8:30 PM. Its last day will be Saturday, December 30th.
