BBQ and Barrels, Owensboro's annual barbecue and bourbon festival, is just around the corner. It's Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th downtown.

For the second year in a row, organizers are bringing country music stars to town to close out the festival. Last year, Chris Janson filled the lawn of the Owensboro Convention Center. This year, Clay Walker is headlining the concert finale!

He will be joined by Drew Baldridge, who's currently climbing the country charts with his latest hit single, "Tough People."

The concert is FREE to the public and we're expecting huge crowds on the lawn.

By the way, a pro tip for you. Be on the lookout for your chance to win some meet-and-greet passes for Drew. We're also going to have a contest for exclusive access to a VIP area right in front of the stage.

Also back for a second consecutive year is the BBQ and Barrels 50/50 Half Pot Raffle. In 2024, inspired by the incredible success of the West Side Nut Club's raffle in Evansville, City of Owensboro officials decided to host a 50/50 raffle of their own.

Mark Evans was certainly glad they did. He walked away with the inaugural jackpot- an impressive $16,025!
