Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 is National Hamburger Day. I live in Owensboro, Kentucky- which is home to the incredibly popular Owensboro Burger Week. Owensboro Burger Week takes place in early March each year and dozens of restaurants and food trucks around town create a $7 specialty burger to compete for one of two prizes- Burger Week Champion and the People's Choice.
In 2024, two food trucks- J's Good Grub and Basil's Food Truck- tied for Grand Champion.

So, which Owensboro restaurants have the most popular burgers year round? To celebrate National Hamburger Day, I decided to consult the experts. I visited Tripadvisor and searched for the Top Ten Burger Restaurants in Owensboro. Most of the restaurants that popped up were expected. However, there were a couple of surprises. Check 'em out!
While Lure Seafood & Grille is most well-known for its seafood offerings, at lunchtime you'll find some incredible burgers on their menu- including their popular Truffle Burger and their Lure Burger.
Burger Theory is home of The Creative Burger People and is located on the riverfront inside the Holiday Inn. Their burgers include the popular Lonestar Burger and the Angry Pig!
Ritzy's has two 50s-style diner locations in Owensboro- on on Hwy 54 and one on Frederica Street.
Located at 2220 Veach Road, Gary's is a longtime local favorite. They serve a variety of popular burgers and even offer an 8 ounce Angus burger.
Culver's location in Owensboro is situated right off Hwy 54 and is home to popular ButterBurgers!
Wonder Whip is located at 2434 East 4th Street in Owensboro and has been a popular location for decades. Their burger claim to fame? The Wonderburger!
