Carsyn does not do well with characters in full costume. Just this past Monday we tried to visit the Easter Bunny...epic fail. She saw a commercial for Disney On Ice a few weeks ago and reminded me often how much she wanted to go. Being that Disney On Ice is one of my favorite childhood memories, I couldn't wait to take her!

So, I shelled out the big bucks for the tickets just off the ice. I couldn't wait to see her little face light up when Ariel, Tinkerbell and the characters from Toy Story 3 skated past. Then, I remembered that she's basically terrified of this type of thing.

Oh my...what have I gotten myself into?!?

The show was Wednesday night at The Ford Center, so Tuesday night we spent about an hour watching YouTube videos preparing her for the costumes.

So, after we take a photo with the Toy Story 3 props, get a Tinkerbell tshirt and make a quick snack stop, we got all settled into our seats. By the way, our seats were awesome and I'm SO glad I spent the extra cash for them.

I'm very happy to report that Carsyn LOVED the show! I actually had to pull her back a few times, because she wanted to go out on the ice, haha! Sorry precious, but one night-skate at The Edge does not make you a great skater, haha!

I'll have to say that The Little Mermaid, which is one of my all-time favorite movies, was amazing! And yes, I knew every single word, ha! The costumes were beautiful and the skaters were great too! We did have a touch-and-go moment during Ursela's main scene. But, Carsyn held it together pretty well!

Tinkerbell is Carsyn's favorite, so seeing the cast was a blast! Terrace, Tinkerbell's boyfriend, quickly became the apple of my daughter's eye. She just about waved her little arm off trying to get his attention. Oh, she succeeded! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree now does it?!? ;)

My favorite character from the entire show is not who I thought it would be. Ken from Toy Story 3 was soooo good! He was totally in character and made me laugh the whole time he was on stage/ice. Looks like Carsyn and Terrance's love affair was short-lived, because on the way home, she told me this...

"Mommy...did you see Ken keep looking at me?? I think we're gonna marry! He was lookin and waving and dancin at me, ha! He reallly liked me!"

Haha! I could not have been more pleased with the entire night! I hope that Carsyn had just as much fun as I did! Oh, my arm may have been a little sore Thursday morning...looks like Carsyn wasn't the only one waving at the characters!

My little Tinkerbell!
