Country Music Star Clay Walker Will Play Free Concert in Owensboro, KY

The City of Owensboro recently announced plans for the 3rd Annual BBQ & Barrels Festival downtown. The popular event- formerly the International Bar-B-Q Festival- is set to return to downtown Owensboro Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th. For the second consecutive year, the event will be anchored by a FREE country music concert!

Last year, to coincide with and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Owensboro Convention Center, the City of Owensboro brought country music star Chris Janson to town. The concert was a huge hit and thousands of people flocked to the front lawn of the convention center to enjoy it.  This year's show, which features a 90s country superstar and a rising star of 'new country,' promises to deliver the same!

The 2025 BBQ & Barrels festival will be headlined by CLAY WALKER!

Clay Walker burst onto the country music scene in 1993 with his song "What's It To You?"

His lead off single climbed all the way to #1 on the Billboard Country Chart and was the first of six career number ones. That list includes other popular hits like "Rumor Has It," "I Could Make a Living," and "Dreaming With My Eyes Wide Open."

Joining Clay Walker will be a relatively new artist who recently made country music history. Drew Baldridge reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Country Chart with this!

Drew Baldridge, without a record label, self-funded that song and it became one of the most popular songs of 2024. His latest song, "Tough People," is currently climbing the chart.

You can catch Clay Walker and Drew Baldridge at BBQ & Barrels in downtown Owensboro at 6:30pm, Saturday, May 10th. The show is absolutely FREE, general admission and is a BYOC event (bring your own chair).
