It's a special time of year as students and families celebrate graduations. I love seeing all of the pictures of kids in their caps and gowns. For college grads, that fancy piece of paper represents long nights of studying, countless bowls of Ramen noodles, and maaaaaybe a little partying here and there.

Bachelor's Degree = Blood, Sweat, and Tears

I don't know about the blood part, but sweat and tears are definitely involved in the four years away from home getting a bachelor's degree. Especially for those who participate in college sports or extracurricular activities. The internet's newest trend is all about the special folks who get fans hype for games throughout the year. Trading Stinky Costumes For Caps & Gowns

As these energetic and often acrobatic young men and women trade in those stinky fuzzy costumes for graduation regalia, they reveal who the crowds have fallen in love with at school events. Here are a couple of the heartfelt videos I've found from the Commonwealth as these folks say goodbye to their alter egos and start their careers. Grab your Kleenex!

Who Was the University of Northern Kentucky's 2025 Mascot?

@nkuedu1 Double life and a triple major! 🎓🕶️ Patrick Hirsch has been a vital part of NKU’s campus culture, blending technical skill with leadership across the board. From creating content with The Northerner to amplifying student voices at Norse Code Radio and helping peers access food at FUEL NKU, Patrick has done it all. And now, as he prepares to graduate, he reminds us that the true face of a university isn’t just found on banners or billboards — it’s found in students like him who lead with purpose. #NorseUp #NKU #MascotReveal ♬ Keep it up - Good Neighbours

Who Was the University of Kentucky's 2025 Mascot?

@ngrebe Adding to the mascot reveal trend, thanks for the opportunity of a lifetime @University of Kentucky 😸💙 #mascotreveal #universityofkentucky ♬ Keep it up - Good Neighbours

My favorite part of these videos? The comments! People are shocked to find that the guy they sat next to in class was the one doing flips and tricks during games. I have a confession, though. I had no idea their identities were secret!  I can't imagine how hard that would be. Who is your favorite college mascot? Am I missing a mascot reveal from a Kentucky college?
