We usually get these live in-studio performances late in the week, so it was nice to have a Monday afternoon visit from new artist Corey Cox.

Corey, who splits his time between his native Anderson, Indiana and Nashville, is in the middle of a radio tour and put WBKR on his list.

He sang a couple of songs, one of which is the new single you've just heard called "Wake Up Drunk," which he co-wrote with Joe Denim who penned the clever "Pray for You" for Jaron & the Long Road to Love, a top 15 hit from a couple of years ago.

Corey's been working with no less than Toby Keith so here's hoping something that auspicious absolutely pans out.
