The Daviess County High School basketball team is deep in the paint in the preseason. However, they did step away from the court last Friday to spread some holiday cheer in Kentucky's biggest city. The team made a huge toy delivery to Norton's Children's Hospital in Louisville.

DAVIESS COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL'S RED/WHITE DAY

Stacey Howard, whose son Gavin plays for the Panthers, says the team has a Red/White Day each year. According to Coach Neil Hayden, Red/White Day is hosted by the DCHS boys basketball team, but includes elementary teams (K through the 5th grade), the girls and boys middle school teams and DC's high school teams. That day features a big toy drive and this year's was incredibly successful.
