On March 1st, 2014, the Owensboro Convention Center played host to the annual River City Festival of Films--an extraordinary event which has grown by leaps and bounds since its beginnings in a vacant space at Towne Square Mall.

Spearheaded by Owensboro filmmaker PJ Starks, the RCFF is a showcase for independent filmmakers from far and wide who are seeking a platform for their work.

This year's festival featured an appearance by actor Peter Weller and the premiere of the amazing documentary Rivalry: Red vs. Blue which details the decades-long battle for basketball supremacy in the Bluegrass between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Louisville Cardinals.

And now the Daviess County Public Library has generously allowed us to "peek behind the curtain" and see how this unique event came to pass.

I can't wait til next year.
