Three Owensboro Restaurants Team Up for Fun and Tasty ‘Trunk or Treat’
Last year, the folks at Deloris' Cafe in Owensboro decided to host a trunk or treat event at their restaurant's parking lot. Susan, the owner, says the decision was made "on a whim." Well, as you can imagine, the event was pretty popular. After all, kids love a good trunk or treat around Halloween. This year, Susan and her staff at Deloris' have decided to go big or go home! They're working with two other locally-owned restaurants to make the 2024 Trunk or Treat bigger than ever!
WHICH RESTAURANTS ARE PARTICIPATING?
Deloris' Cafe is located at 2123 Triplett Street here in Owensboro. It's right where Triplett, New Hartford and Veach all meet at the proverbial fork in the road. Oh, wait! It's almost Halloween. Let's call it a 'pitchfork' in the road. Naturally, when Susan was deciding which restaurants to team up with, she didn't have to think on it too much. Gary's Drive-In is located directly across the street. The Pickrell family was happy to jump onboard for some trunk or treating.
And get this! Deloris' has wrangled a restaurant from the east side of the county to participate too. Elizabeth, who is the manager at the cafe, has a son who works for Ole South Barbeque on Hwy 54. Her son was able to get Ole South involved too.
WHEN IS DELORIS' CAFE'S TRUNK OR TREAT?
So, the big event is set! It's Tuesday, October 22nd from 5pm to 7pm.
Deloris' shared this on their official Facebook to 'conjure' up some ghouls and goblins for their big night!
Please bring your little goblins and come on down! So excited to see all the littles dressed in their Halloween best!!
