Angel here!  As a mother of 5 children, I have seen my fair share of homework over the years.  With one child in every school, I am posing the question...Is Homework Really Necessary?

According to an article I read in Time Magazine "Homework: Is It Good For Kids?"  One second grade teacher went viral for her no-homework policy asking her students instead to "eat dinner with their families, play outside and go to bed early."

The article continues to add;

 For decades, the homework standard has been a “10-minute rule,” which recommends a daily maximum of 10 minutes of homework per grade level. Second graders, for example, should do about 20 minutes of homework each night. High school seniors should complete about two hours of homework each night. The National PTA and the National Education Association both support that guideline.

I was able to collect the thoughts and opinions of many educators, parents, friends, and family on as they weighed in on this.  Here are the answer I received;

Good Morning America actually interview some kiddos and asked them their thoughts on homework.  Their responses are pretty awesome and make sense!  (The segment is about 2:48 into the video)

Parents, guardians, teachers, kids what are your thoughts on homework?  Tell us!
