James Elliott and Scott Ethridge from Yellow Banks joined us in the studio for a chat about their recent exciting win. The "Next Rising Star" competition was held at Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row, and these fellas, along with fellow members Aaron Ray, Half Moon Hank, Bean, and Rasta, took home the crown and an amazing performance opportunity.

They will get 45 minutes to do their thang on the Nashville Superspeedway stage before the Cracker Barrel 400 race! Keep scrolling to listen to the interview, but James told us they were really surprised because they didn't think they had much of a chance. Scott said that James didn't even tell the band until they'd already made it through the first couple of rounds! haha!

If you've ever seen Yellow Banks perform live, you aren't surprised at all. They put on a heck of a show with a great mix of originals and covers of "the good stuff" AKA oldies and oldie GOLDIES. Sometimes you'll even enjoy a wildcard song. James does a mean version of Britney Spears' "Toxic" believe it or not. 10/10. Scott loves him some Michael McDonald. If you know, you know. lol!

This band is talented, authentic, and has great energy on stage. It is about time they get to represent on such a huge platform!  I also think it is really special that Yellow Banks was the original name of Owensboro. So, they are literally getting our little name out there on a national stage. Pretty proud, not gonna lie! Get it, fellas!
