Normally, "Where are they now?" is a question reserved for the most famous of celebrities who no longer demand the spotlight. Maybe former sports superstars or One Hit Wonders who had girls going crazy at their concerts.

This feature is about some fellas who also had the girls going crazy, not at a concert, but in bedrooms and basement sleepovers across the world. Their Glamour Shot pictures were on little cards with fake phone numbers.

Being boy crazy is a perfectly normal phase for some girls, and the board game industry took full advantage of that in the 90s with the game "Dream Phone." It came out in 1991, so if you had a subscription to Teen Beat or had posters of heartthrobs on your wall during this time, chances are you picked up that pink phone a time or two. Dream Phone Game Description

According to Board Game Geek, here is the description on the original box:

One of 24 incredible boys really likes you. Now you just have to find out who he is by calling his friends for clues!

Play a boy's photo card and call his number on the electronic touch-tone phone! Listen to a clue about his clothes, sports, food, or special hangouts. Then search the gameboard to identify who he is and isn't.

Calls are private unless someone plays a Speakerphone card - then everyone hears that clue! If it's a Share a Secret card, just you and one friend listen together!

To guess who your secret admirer is, make a special call to him. If you hear him say, "You're right! I really like you!", you win the game!

The game changes every time you play. Boys give different clues, and your secret admirer changes, too!

Where to Buy Vintage Dream Phone Game

Unlike the classics like Monopoly or Sorry, this game is unfortunately not made anymore. You can find a vintage set on eBay, but it will cost you. One with all of the pieces and working electronics in good condition will set you back upwards of $150-$300, depending.

Dream Phone: Where Are They Now?

Can you really put a price on this kind of nostalgia, though? I mean, to be reunited with Matt, or Bob, or Steve, or Dan the Man? What are those guys doing now, anyway? Because those models were actual dudes (I didn't realize until now that they all look a lot older than I should have been crushing on, lol!).

Anyway, a TikTok user named Hannah Young has started this investigation that I think deserves more attention. Here is her plea for a "Where Are They Now" style documentary for the roster of the 24 dream guys.

The comments of those videos reveal ALL KINDS of fun facts from people chiming in with info or making requests for the internet to work its magic and identify specific favorites. Those 12-year-old crushes hang on strong, y'all!

Hopefully, Hannah (and the rest of us, not gonna lie) can find out what all of these fellas are up to these days. I don't know if she will achieve her dream of a reunion special with Andy Cohen, but I'd be happy to sign a petition to help make that happen. Until then, I will happily follow along as we use our detective skills honed by playing games like "Dream Phone" to search for Steve and the others.
