Former WBKR Intern Lands Job at Grand Ole Opry

Former WBKR intern Whitney Merritt just got some exciting news.  She's going to be working for the show that made country music famous!

Since leaving WBKR, Whitney moved to Nashville, where she's a student at Belmont University.  In fact, she's studying music and recently released her first CD. Now, she's sharing even more news.

Whtney will tell you that one of the highlights of her WBKR internship was her behind-the-scenes tour of The Grand Ole Opry.

Well, guess what?  She's becoming part of the Opry team.  Whitney has been hired to work inside the Grand Ole Opry gift shop!  She is expected to start in September.

So, the next time you head down to the show that made country music famous, keep an eye out for Whitney!  She'll be there getting you hooked up with souvenirs from the show.
