A few weeks ago, I shared a story about four-year-old Case Howard.  He and his mother, Heather Howard, were listening to the WBKR St. Jude Radiothon when it aired the first two days of February.  Case, after hearing some of our St. Jude stories on the Radiothon, started asking questions that indicated he understood a lot of what he was hearing.  He asked, "Mama, St. Jude's a hospital? Those kids are sick?"  Heather started answering and Case started asking even more questions.  Those questions then led to a powerful, bold statement.  Case finally proclaimed, "I give them money too."  And, since that time, this preschooler has been raising money in all kinds of ways!  In fact, you won't believe how much money he's raised!

This week, Case and his family are headed to Memphis.  They decided to plan their Spring Break trip around a visit to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Case's mom, Heather, is going to be taking a tour.  And though he's too young to visit the hospital, Case will be on the St. Jude campus to make his donation to the patients of St. Jude.  And what a donation it is!

By establishing an internet donation page, selling eggs from his family's chickens, gathering sponsors and hosting a huge yard sale, Case has raised over $2900!!  His goal was just $300.  As you can see, he shattered it!

Heather says the family are excited about their trip to St. Jude.  In her words, "I have a feeling it's going to change my life forever."  True statement.  And this one is true as well.  The donation that Case makes Tuesday morning in Memphis is going to change lives too.

Welcome to the St. Jude family, Case!
