Gateway Commons Adding 2nd & Charles, Burke’s Outlet
I'm always intrigued with the progress at Gateway Commons. The area on top of that hill is enormous and I can't wait to see what it's going to look like when everything that's going to be there IS there.
A couple of months ago, I noticed that the earth had been moved next to Gabe's and decided to monitor the situation until there was a structure.
As one contractor on the site told me, "Once there's a structure, the secret's pretty much out."
I'm pretty excited about the prospect of having 2nd & Charles in Owensboro. It's a used book, music, video, and video game store with a twist.
On the "How It Works" page of the store's site, it tells you exactly what you can do with your used merchandise when you get there, like turning old books into e-readers, old video games into new ones, CDs into vinyl, or just turning it all into cash.
On the other side of 2nd & Charles will be Burke's Outlet.
Gateway Commons is coming along very quickly. I'm anxious to see what happens with that strip mall out in front of Gabe's.
Of course, we know there's already going to be a hotel and the new Malco.
Stay tuned.
We'll do the same thing.
