Yesterday, we shared news that Beaver Dam Amphitheatre will be donating portions of the proceeds of the upcoming Larry the Cable Guy concert to tornado victims here in western Kentucky.  There's no doubt that, since those violent storms ripped through portions of the tristate on Friday, December 10th, that people have been rolling up their sleeves to help clear debris, shelter displaced friends and loved ones and raise money to help people start to rebuild their lives.

The same goes for Owensboro entertainment legend, Goldie Payne.  Goldie just announced that she wants to help as well. To do so, she will be donating all the profits from her upcoming New Year's Eve show to tornado relief efforts here in Kentucky.

Those familiar with Goldie's legacy in the area will likely not be surprised by the news.  After all, Goldilocks and the Golden Bears started "came in" doing fundraising concert events way back in 1976.  In Goldie's words, "45 years later, we're going out the same way."

And the latest fundraiser is going to be monumental on a couple of levels. Goldie is preparing for her FINAL 8th One-Time-Only New Year's Eve Reunion Show at the RiverPark Center in downtown Owensboro. It's 8pm, Friday, December 31st and tickets are on sale now.

This year's show will feature all of Goldie's fan favorites including Jon Brennan (who's currently being seen on national television on the reunion of Real World: Los Angeles), his sister Katie Brennan Herron, Tara and Travis Estes, Scott Davis, Alyssa Roby, Natasha Neely Henry, Greg Tate and Randall Howard. Plus, there will be a special appearance by Janie Jett Mason and Jerry!  Goldie refers to her cast as "the guys and gals that makeup the Goldie show" and this year that cast is going to be part of a tremendous community help effort.

Tickets, $30 for adults and $15 for students, can be purchased at the RiverPark Center Box Office, which is open from 9am to 4:30pm.  The phone number for the box office is 270-687-ARTS. Tickets can also be purchased online at RiverParkCenter.org.
