Have You All Seen These?

I am on the go a lot, so I rarely get the chance to go shopping.  And, I'll be honest, it's not my favorite thing to do anyway (because I can NEVER make up my mind and I get bored VERY quickly!)  I am the poster child for Attenion Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and I'm just not built for accomplishing one task at a time.  But Friday, I decided to tempt fate and go shopping for a new laptop computer.  And, like always, I got REALLY bored REALLY fast and quickly wandered out of the laptop aisle!  I think about 6 different sales assistants asked me if they could help because I was bopping in and out of about 12 different aisles of the store.  Then I found this . . .

OMG!  Have you all seen these "touch screen" personal computers?  Where have I been?  Why am I so out of the loop?  When did I become Amish?  These things are so cool!  I have a PC at home that I'm happy with so I haven't been in the market for a new home computer for a while.  But now I want one of these!!  Yep, they're really TOUCH SCREEN computers!! 

There's no tower.  The drives and ports are all built into the monitor.  The keyboard is tiny (and wireless)!  The mouse is wireless!  Everything else you need is attached to your arm!  If you want to log onto the Internet, all you have to do is TOUCH the Internet Explorer icon and presto!  If you want to check to see what accessories your PC has, all you have to do is TOUCH the "start" button, then hit "all programs", TOUCH "accessories" and presto!  It's so flipping cool.  When I tried it out Friday, I felt like Tom Cruise in Minority Report!

This is AMAZING and typical of how my shopping experiences go.  See, I really NEED a laptop computer.  I need it for work and travel!  But, now, I don't want one!  In fact, laptop schmaptop!  I have my 6 months, zero percent financing ready to go and all I can think about is buying a touch screen PC!  And, no, I don't need one . . . I WANT ONE!!

I think I seriously have a problem.  I'm like Whitney with the crack and Barry Bonds with the juice.  For as scattered as my brain is perpetually, it's been quite focused this weekend.  I keep going back to Friday and the touch screen PC's and how totally rad my life would be if I owned one.  But, focus, Chad!  You don't need one.  You need a laptop!  Yeah, I know . . . but I don't want to spend $600 on a laptop when I can spend an extra $300 and be the coolest kid on the block with the coolest computer in the universe!  Wait a minute . . . I have an idea!!  I wonder if there is such a thing as a touch screen laptop?  Hmmmmm???  I bet there is . . .
