If you're like me, you're already scoping out haunted attractions within reasonable driving distance (or maybe not). If only there were enough weekends between now and Halloween. By my count, we're less than seven weeks away.

Depending on the degree of your love for scary Spooky Season destinations, six weekends might be enough for you to cover everything you want to cover. And why not visit more than one in a single night. It can be done because I've done it.

The Reckoning Haunted Attraction - Henderson

If you're looking for new ways to be terrified, a Henderson family has just stepped up to accommodate that need. The Reckoning is a haunted attraction operated by Henderson Haunts, LLC. Owner Josh Wilhite is excited to bring new terror to the tri-state, and at a low cost. This is not Wilhite's first rodeo, but there is a new location for the attraction.

Beginning Friday, October 3rd, Henderson Haunts will open its doors (imagine a deep, bassy creek) every weekend through November 1st.

What can we expect when we visit The Reckoning? If you're like me, you don't want too much given away before I get there, but maybe these TikToks can give us a clue.

I don't want to figure it out before arriving. Half the fun (if not more) of Halloween is the element of surprise. So bring it. I'm ready.

Are you ready? The Reckoning will open its new doors October 3rd in the Audubon Village Shopping Center behind Shoney's on Highway 41 in Henderson.

Happy horror, everyone.
