"The Dance." "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere." "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem." "I Don't Need Your Rockin' Chair." These are just four HUGE examples of the songs whose writers will appear and perform at the 2013 Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival in Henderson.

The festival, which runs July 31st through August 3rd, will showcase the talents of 29 prolific Nashville songwriters--Grammy and CMA Award winners and nominees among them, including Henderson native Kerry Kurt Phillips--as well as stage performers from major bands. Record producers and publishers will also be on hand to share their insights and experiences.

22 shows in four days will give these incredible talents the opportunity to perform the huge hits they've written plus share some memorable stories and it will all happen in three venues in downtown Henderson--sort of creating a mini-Nashville in the process.

The venues involved are Rookies Sports Bar on 2nd Street, Delizio's Restaurant on 2nd on the first floor of the Soaper Building, and Riverbend Academy on the second floor of the Soaper Building.

Tickets are on sale at eventbrite.com while All Access Passes must be purchased before July 30th. These offer the best value and will give the patron the option of early entry seating rather than general door admission. And, of course, tickets for individual select shows may also be purchased.

It's the Fourth Annual Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival in downtown Henderson July 31st through August 3rd!
