Hit Songwriters Coming to Owensboro for ‘Six String Song Machine’

An exciting series of performances will soon begin at the Empress Theatre in downtown Owensboro.

It's called The Six String Song Machine: County Hit Makers Songwriter Series and will feature songwriters telling stories behind the songs they wrote followed by performances of those songs.

We're talking writers of some really big country hits.

Bridgette Tatum will host the series and will also likely tell the story behind "She's Country," the song she wrote that became a massive #1 smash for Jason Aldean.

There will be six shows spread throughout 2020.

The first show, on February 13th, will feature Dave Pahanish, who's written three #1 hits--"American Ride" by Toby Keith, "Without You" by Keith Urban, and "Do You Believe Me Now?" by Jimmy Wayne.

Different songwriters will be spotlighted in each show.

The second show, scheduled for April 9th, will showcase Wynn Varble, writer of Darryl Worley's "Have You Forgotten," Brad Paisley's "Waitin' on a Woman," and Easton Corbin's "A Little More Country Than That," all of which were number one smashes.

The series will continue on June 18th, August 13, October 22nd, and December 3rd.

All shows will begin at 7PM and end at 9PM.
