Did your mother ever tell you "don't eat cookie dough" you'll get food poisoning?  If you answered "YES" I have some fantastic news for you.  How about edible cookie dough?!

Now let's be honest we've all gotten into the cookie dough in the refrigerator at least once or five times in our lives, right?  I recently found multiple recipes on Pinterest for different flavors of edible cookie dough minus the food poisoning.

 Funfetti Cookie Dough

1 cup heat-treated flour meaning microwave it for about 1:30 minutes

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2/3 cup white granulated sugar

2 Tbsp. milk, add more if you need more moisture

1/2 tsp. almond or vanilla extract

1/4 tsp. salt

3 Tbsp. rainbow sprinkles

Add softened butter, granulated sugar, and salt to a mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer to blend together until it becomes light and fluffy. Add milk and vanilla and continue to mix until combined. Add in heat-treated flour and mix until just combined. Add sprinkles with a spoon. Serve immediately or cover and store in the fridge for 6-7 days. Enjoy!

 Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chocolate chips, I used a combo of mini chocolate chips & large chocolate chips

In a medium bowl, mix together the butter and sugars until soft.
Mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
In a small bowl, heat the flour in the microwave for 45-60 seconds or until the internal temperature is 160F degrees.*
Mix the flour into the butter mixture, then stir in the chocolate chips.
