Waverly Hills Sanatorium

Located in Louisville, Kentucky is Waverly Hills Sanatorium.  Waverly Hills is known for being notoriously haunted and is said to be a "hotbed" for paranormal activity. Part of the reason for this haunting reputation has to do with Waverly's history.

The numbers vary, but it's said that thousands died at Waverly Hills Sanatorium as it was originally a tuberculosis hospital.  After the tuberculosis epidemic was over, it was turned into a geriatric medical facility.  In 1981 Waverly Hills closed its doors.  Now the Waverly Hills Historical Society works hard to help preserve the historic landmark, and by utilizing its chilling history they're able to raise funds for their nonprofit which helps with the preservation of the building.

Take a Paranormal Tour at Night

One thing I've always wanted to do is take a tour of Waverly Hills and see it for myself, but I haven't had the chance to get a group together and go.  So I was super excited to see that Waverly Hills offers paranormal tours that are open to the public most weekends.
