Arc of Evansville Opening New Hub in Haynie’s Corner
A familiar Evansville building is getting a new purpose centered around connection, support, and opportunity.
The Arc of Evansville has announced plans to open a new Community Pathway Hub in Haynie's Corner Arts District inside the former Walton's restaurant located on Parrett Street, originally home to the Walton Motor Company.
According to the organization, the expansion will become its third Community Pathway Hub location in Evansville.

New hub Will Expand Access and Support
In a social media announcement, the Arc of Evansville said the new location represents:
- More access
- More support
- More momentum
Renovations are scheduled for the property, and once complete, the organization says the new hub will serve people in the heart of one of Evansville's most active and creative neighborhoods.
The Arc did not announce an opening date yet.
The Arc of Evansville Has Served the Community Since 1954
Founded in 1954, the Arc of Evansville was created by parents advocating for better services and opportunities for children with disabilities in the community.
Today, the nonprofit organization provides multiple programs focused on development, employment training, life skills, and community connections for individuals with disabilities across the Evansville area.
According to Arc, its mission is "to connect people with opportunities and purpose."
The organization emphasizes person-centered support, helping individuals build meaningful lives and become active parts of the community rather than simply existing within it.

Haynei's Corner Continues Growing as a Community Hub
The addition of a Community Pathway Hub fits naturally into the continued growth and evolution happening throughout Haynie's Corner Arts District.
Over the last several years, the neighborhood has continued to develop and grow into a center for local art, events, restaurants, and community gathering spaces.
Projects focused on accessibility, inclusion, and community engagement feel especially at home in that environment.
Repurposing the former Walton's building into a space focused on support and opportunity also feels like a meaningful next chapter for the location itself.
