
Toyota Indiana Announces $330K in Community Funding
Thirty years after Toyota chose Princeton, Indiana, for its second U.S. manufacturing plant, the company is celebrating the milestone with a major investment in both production and the local community.
Toyota Indiana recently marked three decades since breaking ground in southern Indiana, reflecting on a journey that started with just over 1,300 workers building the first Toyota Tundra. Today, nearly 8,000 team members assemble three Toyota models and one Lexus model at the facility.
According to Toyota, more than 8 million vehicles have rolled off the assembly line in Princeton since production began.

Toyota Indiana Continues Expanding in Southern Indiana
State and local leaders praised Toyota Indiana's continued growth during the anniversary celebration, including the company's recently announced $200 million investment to expand production of the Grand Highlander.
Indiana Governor Mike Braun called Toyota an example of Indiana's manufacturing strength, workforce talent, and long-term economic partnership.
Toyota Announces $330,000 in Local Grants
As part of the celebration, Toyota announced $330,000 in community grants focused on youth development and STEM education initiatives across southern Indiana.
Some of the funding will support the Driving Possibilities initiative, a national program launched by the Toyota USA Foundation aimed at preparing students for high-demand STEM careers while helping remove barriers to education.
Grants were awarded to the University of Evansville and the North Gibson School Corporation.
Both organizations will use the funding to purchase vehicles connected to the Driving Possibilities program.
Camp Carson and Mudpuppy Palace Also Receive Funding
Toyota Indiana also announced funding for the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana to support improvements at Camp Carson, the organization's 300-acre camp facility in Gibson County.
In addition, Toyota pledged $200,000 to Mudpuppy Palace for phase one of a planned nature-based learning center focused on STEM education and hands-on learning experiences for children and families across the region.
Toyota Has Invested Billions in Indiana Since Opening
Toyota says it has invested $8.2 billion into its Indiana operations over the last three decades while also donating more than $55 million through grants and community support efforts.
