Kentucky Nursing and Rehab Center Video Airs on AFV on ABC

Over the weekend, I saw a post from Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab that said a video they submitted back in October/November was chosen to air this past Sunday night on America's Funniest Home Videos.

I had not watched the show in years, and I'm partial to the old-school, heyday of the show when the late Bob Saget hosted and provided all the pithy video commentary. By the way, the show is now in its 34th season. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Rebiero has hosted the show for the last nine seasons. It's also now an hour long; counting commercials of course.

So I tuned in and I never saw the Ohio County facility's video. I think what I and other fellow Countians expected was a video featuring the residents. As you know from TikTok, videos from nursing and rehab facilities are a big hit. Despite not seeing or knowing what the video was, I enjoyed watching AFV again.

As it turns out, the video was included in one of many montages on the show; the old "blink and you'll miss it" scene. Here is the video entitled "Teddy Bear Shuffle".

I mean, that's the type of Teddy Bear that is given as a Valentine's Day gift and they are huge! Kudos to cook Aaron Daugherty who played the Teddy Bear. The lady who got the big surprise is Alissa Logsdon who is in admissions/marketing. Administrator Justin Hendrix, activities director Cindie Kelley, and dietary manager Pat McCarthy were all in on the joke. Great job everyone!
