Kentucky Wesleyan College is losing another member of its athletic department. In a press release on the KWC Panthers’ athletics website, it was announced yesterday that athletic director David Williams will be leaving the Panthers.

According to the release, AD Williams has been named the senior associate athletics director for external relations for the University of South Dakota.

Williams had been the athletics director for the Panthers since 2011. While at KWC, Williams established an Athletic Hall of Fame which inducted its first class a few months back, he contracted with ADIDAS to provide exclusive apparel and footwear to all of the teams, and he made the college a charter member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

Williams is the second staff member in the athletics department at KWC to announce their departure this year. A little over a month ago, KWC head men’s basketball coach Todd Lee announced he was heading to Grand Canyon University (read more by clicking here). KWC has announced Happy Osborne as the new head coach of the Panthers men’s basketball team. The release did not mention KWC’s plan for replacing Williams.
