Lane Goodwin Thumbs Up Campaign Spans Globe [GALLERY]

I first heard of the Prayers for Lane Goodwin Facebook page late last week and read with great interest and sadness of Lane's battle with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma stage IV. That's nothing you ever want to read about a child.

But I can tell from the photos that Lane is a very brave guy--braver, most likely, than many of us would be in a similar situation.

As more and more people got wind of Lane's illness, something began to happen. A campaign began called "Thumbs Up for Lane." The WBKR crew had a picture taken. Many others did as well.

Then I saw a thumbs up photo of David Nail. Then there was Trent Tomlinson, Justin Moore, Josh Turner, Josh Thompson, Kevin Durant, Kyle Busch, Coach John Calipari, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood...and the list continues to grow. In fact, the Thumbs Up campaign has reached as far as Spain, Rumania, and Afghanistan according to some of the picture I've seen on Facebook.

The outpouring of love and support is overwhelming and extraordinary. We've all sort of become extended family members of the Goodwin family. I've never seen so many different people connected by one cause like this.

Unbelievable.
