I've only ever seen televised Cirque du Soleil performances. Clearly, that has to change. Still, even on the small screen, it was an absolute mindblower.

For nearly 40 years, Cirque du Soleil has been entertaining audiences around the globe with breathtaking performances by world-class acrobats, contortionists, and aerialists. It's a thrill ride that doesn't require your seat to move at all. You just sit back and let yourself be blown away.

One thing Cirque fans know is that the shows usually have a specific theme when touring. This December, folks in Owensboro and western Kentucky will have a chance to enjoy Cirque du Soleil's HOLIDAY-themed extravaganza--"A Magical Cirque Christmas." Five years ago, it lit up the America's Got Talent stage:

On December 11th, Owensboro's RiverPark Center will host "A Magical Cirque Christmas." If you're a Cirque follower and have seen multiple performances, you'll be happy to know that a couple of familiar faces will be returning for the holiday spectacular. Jonathan Rinny is an expert unicyclist and juggler and got a glowing review from AGT's Simon Cowell, who called Rinny the best rolla bolla act he'd ever seen. Yeah, I had to look it up. But I HAVE seen one; I just didn't know what it was called.

Additionally, fan favorite, contortionist, and aerial foot archer Aryn Shelander will be a part of the Christmas cast.

There's so much to do during the holiday season--especially in December. But there's almost NEVER anything on a Monday. That changes for Christmas 2023. December 11th is a Monday, and it figures to be one of the most exciting Mondays many folks will ever experience.

"A Magical Cirque Christmas" is a one-night-only event on Monday, December 11th. The show will start at 7 PM.

Tickets for "A Magical Cirque Christmas" go on sale Friday, July 28th at 10 AM Central at Ticketmaster or riverparkcenter.org. You can also purchase them in person at the RiverPark box office Tuesday through Friday between 9 AM and 4:30 PM.
