Howie Mandel said, "Prove me wrong." Then after Maceo native Marty Brown performed Rascal Flatts' "Bless the Broken Road," Howie said that Marty HAD proven him wrong.

In the eyes of the judges, Marty Brown redeemed himself on Tuesday night's edition of America's Got Talent. Although judge Howard Stern enjoyed the performance, he expressed his wish that Marty had done something with a lot more energy. And that WOULD have blown the doors off the joint.

The songs of Marty's that stand out to ME from his days on MCA Records in the early 90s are "Every Now and Then" and, especially, "Cryin', Lovin', Leavin'." Those are rave-ups and he would have killed with either.

But his performance was well-received and America already loves him and that's what matters.

Let's see what happens next.
