This past Saturday, our WBKR 30-Day Song Challenge was "Name a Song You Like from the '70s" and I blurted out a random one on the air, but I think this song is one of my favorites, not just from the '70s, but favorites period.

Miranda Lambert has been promoting the heck out of her new album Wildcard which will be out November 1st. She also has a new headlining tour "Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars" which kicked off this past Friday night. Joining Lambert on select dates are Elle King, Ashley McBryde, Maren Morris, Caylee Hammack, and Tenille Townes.

The ladies joined Lambert in the studio to record a cover of Elvin Bishop's biggest hit, "Fooled Around and Fell in Love". I first remember listening to it on an 8-Track my parents had. Mickey Thomas, who would go on to front Jefferson Starship, then Starship, sang lead on Bishop's hit, and his voice, in my opinion, is one of the best in rock history.

So, here is Lambert and her tour pals' version:

Lambert's tour will roll into Highland Heights, KY this Saturday night (9/21) with King, Hammack and the Pistol Annies.
