Nashville Bars Closed for Two Weeks, City’s Fireworks Cancelled

Nashville's fireworks celebration always draws an enormous crowd on the Fourth of July. And the attendees aren't just locals; folks drive for miles to celebrate Independence Day in Music City BECAUSE of the city's amazing display.

But that will all have to wait until 2021.

Amid Tennessee's largest one-day spike in COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, Nashville's fireworks for 2020 have been cancelled, according to NewsChannel5-Nashville.

And The Tennessean is reporting a reversion to the Volunteer State's second reopening phase as bars across Nashville are shuttering for two weeks.

Plus, certain "high-touch" businesses like restaurants and gyms will return to 50% capacity with retails stores limited to 75% and gatherings of no more than 25 people allowed.
