April 12th was National Grilled Cheese Day. Yesterday, we celebrated the delicious high holy day with a poll on my morning radio. We asked listeners and social media friends this question- Which restaurant in the Tristate has the best grilled cheese sandwich? As you can imagine, a lot of grilled cheese fans chimed in with answers. We compiled them and created this list!

Lic's Ice Cream & Deli has multiple locations in the Tristate area- Evansville, Vincennes, Newburgh and Owensboro. They have two different grilled cheese options on their menu.

Ritzy's has locations in Evansville and Owensboro and they have a delicious grilled cheese panini on their specialty menu.
Great Harvest Bread Company has locations in western Kentucky and southern Indiana and they offer a couple of different varieties of grilled cheese. The first is their take on the classic grilled cheese. I work adjacent to a Great Harvest location and this sandwich is my go-to when I visit.
Preservation Station is located just outside of Owensboro on Hwy 56. In addition to being home to antiques, keepsakes and fun vintage finds, it's also home to a delicious restaurant. That restaurant serves up an popular grilled cheese sandwich too.
