Owensboro’s New Mobile Hat Bar Would be a Fun ‘Accessory’ to Your Holiday Parties

I spent some time last week at Glow Beauty & Co. broadcasting live for their grand opening in The Thatch Shopping Center. As the newest spot in Owensboro for all things beauty and pampering, they offer massages, spray tans, makeup services, manicures, pedicures, hair extensions, skincare, and more!

It was also Shop Small Saturday and let me tell you, those gals know how to party!  Some of the most popular vendors in town were there as well as food trucks and a bar serving signature cocktails to celebrate the special day. As I walked into the gorgeous new salon, I saw a display of hats in the lobby. There were iron-on letters of all styles and colors and a huge assortment of awesome trendy patches.

I met Niki Davis, owner of Glow Beauty & Co. She is also a master cosmetologist who has been in the game for 20 years specializing in skin care/esthetics and hair extensions. Most recently, she has (pardon the pun) thrown her hat in the ring of custom accessories. "I started the hat bar Sept 2023. I was wanting to offer something Owensboro didn't have yet, plus, who doesn’t love hats?!" Niki told me.

The GB Hat Bar is always set up and available at the Glow Beauty, but you can also book the bar for private events.  "I also set up at girl's nights, team building events for businesses, birthday parties, anything you want to celebrate." What an awesome idea! I love going to an event with creative features like this, and guests get to leave with the coolest party favor made just for them.

And it's super easy! You pick out your favorite hat and then choose what you want to put on it. Then Niki takes over for the finishing touches and voila! Here is the one I made. My initials, of course, and an adorable Smiley Face. Y'all know they are my favorite! I've already worn it a few times and folks have asked, "OMG, where'd you get that?!"

Niki also said that she is happy to customize other accessories as well. "I literally have a patch for almost anything!  You can even bring your cosmetic bags, belt bags, or anything you want to stick a patch on!" And she has a HUGE variety to choose from. Don't mind me as I go search my closet for things I can customize!
