How to Play the Fun Pucks in the Park Scavenger Hunt in Owensboro
This time last year, Owensboro Parks and Recreation unleashed a bunch of squeaking pigs into parks around the city. The event was called Hambushed and local families accepted the challenge of visiting our local parks and hunting for snorting pigs that were hidden at them. It was uproariously fun!
Well, this year, the pigs have been retired and they've been replaced with hockey pucks. Hockey continues to have a rich tradition here in Owensboro. Owensboro Hockey was established back in 1971 and that tradition of having incredible youth hockey programs and teams continues fifty years later. So, Owensboro Parks and Recreation is celebrating that heritage with the 2022 Pucks in the Park Scavenger Hunt!
The Puck Hunt dates are Thursday, September 22nd, Thursday, September 29th and Thursday, October 6th (UPDATE: Tuesday, October 4th) and here's what you need to do if you find a hidden puck. By the way, there will be TWO types of pucks. There will be traditional BLACK hockey pucks and a limited number of GOLD, SILVER AND BRONZE pucks.

Each player can claim ONE PUCK per date. if you find a black, silver or bronze puck, you MUST return that puck to the Owensboro Park and Recreation Center at 1530 McJohnson Avenue.
