Puzzle Pieces Stolen Van Replaced By Generous Donation (PHOTOS)
A few weeks ago we reported that the Center Piece van used to transport clients had been stolen out of their parking lot. Today they received a brand new van from an amazing donor!
Amanda Owen, Director of Puzzle Pieces, contacted us to share the amazing news and here is what she had to say;
We were contacted by a gentleman named , Steven Mile, last week to talk about our stolen van. He actually wasn't aware of Puzzle Pieces at the time, when his wife shared the story with him. His wife actually learned about the story from Live with Jeff, she follows his episodes (which I think is amazing). So Steven did some research into Puzzle Pieces and who we were , and was amazed that this resource for families was in Owensboro.
Steven went on to tell me of his involvement with the Kuttawa Cannonball Run, which is a poker run at Kentucky Lake held in June. He said in years past the staff and participants of this Kuttawa Cannonball Run have selected national nonprofits to raise funds for such as Riley Hospital and veterans and the group had some money from these events that they would like to use to purchase Puzzle Pieces/Center Piece a 7 passenger van to replace our stolen one.
We will do a follow up once this happens! What an awesome happy ending to an unfortunate situation.
We are so happy for Center Pieces. THIS IS AMAZING!
