Riverpark Center Announces 2025-2026 Broadway Season

The RiverPark Center in downtown Owensboro is excited to announce the 2025-2026 Broadway season. Thanks to generous sponsors Owensboro Health, in association with Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline, we will get to enjoy three incredible stories that range from classic literature, one of Broadway's hottest new shows, and a Dickens classic retold in Smoky Mountain style.

Austen’s Pride: A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice

As the stormy romance between Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy unfolds in a fresh narrative, Austen gains new insights into both her creations and her own identity. AUSTEN’S PRIDE presents as never before, blending wit and wisdom with a gorgeous original score that whisks audiences away to an era rich with passion and longing.

Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas

Bell, adapted by Bell, Curt Wollan and Couch.Set in the 1930s in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, this unforgettable production and amazing cast imagines Ebenezer Scrooge as the owner of a mining company town, where his callous greed blinds him to the joys and gifts of the season. As a Christmas Eve snowstorm approaches, Scrooge is visited by his deceased business partner and three ghosts who compel him to see life anew and discover that love is the greatest gift we have. The legendary holiday tale re-written as a new American classic features Dickens’ classic characters and Parton’s one-of-a-kind songwriting expertise, making this a holiday event you’ll want to share with those you love.
