There's no doubt about it. One of the most legendary bakeries in the Tristate sits right here in the middle of Owensboro.

The Rolling Pin was founded way back in 1947. Fun fact! The original location of the bakery was on St. Ann Street downtown. However, it quickly moved to its current location on 18th Street after just a few months. It has presided at the intersection of 18th Street and Hall Street since.

There's no question. The Rolling Pin is an Owensboro institution.

Here at WBKR, we host an annual poll of The Best Donuts in the Tristate and the Rolling Pin is typically the undisputed champion. The 'pastry shop' has a devout legion of fans, followers, and customers. For example, my cousin Shea lives in South Carolina. However, every time he comes back home for a visit, he has to have chocolate long johns from Rolling Pin.
