The end of the school year means celebration! Teachers and students are preparing for summer break, but some Daviess County Public School employees, have more work to do. That's certainly true of lunchroom staffs across the district. They're prepping for the big launch party for the Summer Feeding Program.

Stacy Marsh, the Food Service Manager at Southern Oaks Elementary School, is excited about this year's Summer Feeding Kick Off. It's next Monday at Daviess County High School.

The entire mission of the Summer Feeding Program is providing FREE lunch to anyone under the age of 18 and that will certainly be the case next Monday. They're serving up hot dogs, trail mix, apples, and dragon punch.

The 2024 Summer Feeding Program kicks off on Monday, May 20th and will continue throughout the summer. The schedule runs Monday, May 20th through Friday, August 2nd. As you can see, the school system will have three separate delivery vans in action this summer and the mobile routes and delivery times are below.
